Assurity Claims was established as an adjusting company in 2021. In January of 2023, Josh and Vicki combined forces to create an independent adjusting company that focuses on quality adjusters for quality carriers. We are currently recruiting adjusters, including those we have worked with in the past, to create a solid team of experienced adjusters with the desire to be known for the quality of their work product.
MEET THE TEAM
Josh Banks
Owner/Director of Operations
Josh was born and raised in North Louisiana and joined the Army National Guard after 9/11. He completed one combat tour in Afghanistan and multiple worldwide humanitarian missions. Josh returned to Louisiana to assist South Louisiana after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. He has held management positions with the largest domestic packaging delivery operation, and the world's largest logistic company assisting Folger’s Coffee distribution operations in Lacombe, Louisiana. He has also held management positions with a vinyl siding manufacturer and pallet recycling operation. In 2015, Josh left corporate management and joined the rosters as an independent adjuster working with the largest domestic carrier. He has worked as an independent adjuster for multiple IA firms and carriers, handling daily and catastrophe claims throughout the United States. After working with different IA firms, Josh discovered areas of improvement for the operations side of the business and joined Vicki to create Assurity Claims.
Vicki Lighter
Owner/Director of Claims
Vicki obtained her bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Louisiana State University. She began in the insurance claims industry in 1994 as a multi-line staff desk adjuster, where she received numerous customer service awards and an excellent rating in claim handling and documentation. Four years later she became a daily, independent adjuster for a national independent adjusting firm, where she received the highest audit score for commercial and residential claim handling in Louisiana. Vicki took a leave from the insurance industry when she became the operations manager for a small business with 30 employees. When Katrina struck, Vicki returned to the claims adjusting world, working as a CAT adjuster. She then moved back into the daily adjusting division once her CAT deployment ended. After ten years, she was promoted to Associate Director of TPA (Third Party Administrator) for five years. Afterwards she worked for another independent adjusting firm as one of their Executive Claims Managers through 3 hurricane seasons. In January 2023, she joined forces with Josh and established Assurity Claims.
